MISSING LINK Adventure Racers
April 1, 2007 - We're back! So, it's time to dust off the running shoes, and put some air in the bike tires.
As you can
see, the site has been revamped a little bit. If you click on the right calendar icon, it should bring up an interactive calendar
of the local races and the training schedule. If you have a race or event you want us to add - shoot us an email.
See you
on Tuesday for the first official Tuesday night training of 2007!
May 5, 2007 - Thanks to everyone for coming over for our combo birthday bash/poker party for Jerry and Cinco de Mayo fiesta. These guys got their hair pretty big - but were still a couple inches short of the hair helmet that Jerry sports!
Robin and Colin played some mean poker hands (could Colin possibly get one more straight?) and forced the birthday boy out of the game early.
Hope you all are fully recovered and are ready to race Wednesday!
April 10, 2007 - Team Manny's beats 36 teams to win the first Beast race of the season, held in Redmond, WA. No Missing
Links participated in this race. See the race results
here.
May 9, 2007 - the team (consisting of Patrice, Eric, Karyn and Jerry) raced Beast #2 in the Issaquah Highlands.
The team finished third in the 4-person coed division and 16th overall.
June 1, 2007 - Check out the new book written by our friend, Karine Baillet, captain of Wilsa Sport/Helly Hansen. This book
chronicles her experiences as an adventure racer and provides advice on the sport. It is available through www.amazon.fr - but
you may want to brush up on your French reading skills first!
July 17, 2007 - The Yaeger brothers, Justin and Joel, having announced that they are hanging up the Trioba towel, held an AR
social at Sully's in Seattle. Many race stories were told throughout the night. We give huge thanks to Justin
and Joel for all their years of hard work putting on a great race series for us Northwest racers. We still hope to see you at
the annual Colinoba!
January 2008 - After enjoying the holidays it's time to start 2008 with some racing. Eric Abraham, Karyn Abraham, Jerry Gamez and Robin Smith all participated in this year's Fat Ass Capital Peak Run on January 19th in Olympia.
The course was muddy and sloppy which caused Eric to roll an ankle and inflicted some knee problems for Jerry. The area is beautiful and we look forward to doing some training there when the weather improves.
